The Revolution Jam Like It’s 1984 Again At Minneapolis’ First Avenue For ‘Purple Rain’ Anniversary Week (PHOTOS)

During a week-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Prince and The Revolution album and film Purple Rain, The Revolution played two sold-out shows at Minneapolis’ legendary First Avenue, where the 1984 movie was filmed. OG members of The Revolution performed, including Wendy Melvin, Brown Mark, Lisa Coleman, Matt “Doctor” Fink, Bobby Z, and Prince protégé Judith Hill, filling in for a few others, including “Purple Rain,” “Kiss” and “When Doves Cry.” The photos below are from the second performance on 6/22 by Billy Briggs.
