For our final Juxtaposed June edition of Weirdo Wednesday this month, we continue our unofficial salute to the beginning of summer with this peculiar video of The Kinks performing their classic summer ditty “Sunny Afternoon.” While admittedly not the “weirdest” song in the Kinks catalog (it’s actually one of their most accessible), the contrast of the band singing this markedly warm/breezy tune in the snow is pretty amusing/brilliant and a perfect way to wrap up our final Juxtaposed June offering on this first full week of summer.
