Low Cut Connie has released the official trailer for his hybrid documentary/concert film Art Dealers, which will premiere to the public for the first time in New York City at Cinema Village on Friday, September 6. The premiere kicks off a string of screening events throughout the month of September that will make stops in the artist’s hometown of Philadelphia, Denver, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more. Each screening event will feature a Q&A with Low Cut Connie frontman and co-director Adam Weiner, with co-director Roy Power at select screenings. Watch the official trailer for Art Dealers below.
“I am completely blown away by the response to this film and the music in it. These screening events are going to be ridiculous fun for me and everyone in the room,” says Weiner. “I can’t wait for people in all these cities to get the ART DEALERS experience in the theater and then to have all of America experience it on Oct 1. We aim to make people laugh, cry, dance ,and scream along with the film, and it’ll be fantastic to see it all in action at these screenings. It’s time to get wild again.”
Last month, Low Cut Connie announced that Dark Star Pictures acquired North American rights to Art Dealers which was co-produced by Animus Studios & Contender Records. The film will see week-long theatrical runs in New York and Los Angeles, followed by a VOD/digital and physical media release on October 1.
Art Dealers premiered last year at the Richmond International Film Festival last year where it took home their 2023 Artistic Vision Award. The premiere was followed by screenings at the Philadelphia Film Festival and Minneapolis’ Sound Unseen Music + Film Festival.
