Earlier this month the band posted ‘The Agadez Folders: Live at Sultan’s Palace.’ It features Mdou Moctar performing a one-hour electric live set at the King’s Palace in the city’s center. Released in May, ‘Funeral for Justice’ has become the band’s most widely acclaimed record to date. It captures the group in ferocious form. The music is louder, faster, and more wild. The guitar solos are feedback-scorched and the lyrics are passionately political.
