“The track naturally infused itself with meaning over time, with such contrast and lack of structural integrity it feels unsettling to listen to – pushing against the conventions of what a song should be,” explains the band. “We decided to play with the theme of memory, specifically memory loss and the gradual decline of cognitive function, which is why we wrap things up with a cascading breakdown to represent the complete loss of memory.”
