LISTEN: Century Park West Debut With Refreshing and Explosive Post-Punk On “Bang Bang”

Century Park West is just three friends making music that they enjoy. Based in Miami, Florida, the band has been incubating its creativity since 2019 and is finally ready to share its refreshing brand of post-punk with the world. The band consists of Felix Garcia (vocals, guitar), Ivory Rodriguez (bass, synth), and Josh Nunez (vocals, drums).

On their debut single, “Bang Bang,” the trio blends the infectiousness of pop with the tempos of punk and the proportions of stadium rock. Once you press play on the band’s new single, there is no turning back, partly due to the pace you are thrown into the track and also because of the song’s replay value. In just over two minutes, Century Park West introduces themselves as modern post-punk fusionists whose relentless creativity lands them in a league of their own. The explosiveness of “Bang Bang” hits you as if you’re standing in front of a jet engine with blasts of chanting vocals and blazing guitar melodies engulfing the listener. Century Park West breaks things down for a quick vocal exercise that adds a lush touch to the razor-sharp production work just when you think you have a grasp of things. With “Bang Bang” acting as Century Park West’s debut single, it would appear the young band is on the fast track to something unique. “Bang Bang” is an explosive piece of modern post-punk that introduces the band as forward-thinking and poetic artists.

“We are all growing alongside the universe. Tomorrow isn’t real, so focus on today,” explains the band.
