AC/DC Launch ‘Power Up’ North American Tour at Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium (RECAP)

Last year, North American fans of the legendary AC/DC became onlookers as the band toured Europe on their Power Up tour to support their 2020 POWER UP LP. Thankfully, observers will become participants as the icons set their sights on a trek across North America, which kicked off last night in Minneapolis. AC/DC brought their Power Up tour to U.S. Bank Stadium for the first show of their North American tour and first show since August 2024. The band brought an expansive, career-spanning setlist that would make any fan of any era rejoice in the hard rock galore.

AC/DC kicks things off with their classic “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” from their Highway to Hell LP, an album that got plenty of love during the band’s first U.S. stop. They also performed the title track and “Shot Down In Flames” from their classic 1979 release. Five of the 21 songs performed in Minneapolis came from Back In Black, making it the night’s most visited AC/DC album. Songs like the iconic title track, “Hells Bells,” and “You Shook Me All Night Long” were some of the tunes lifted from Back In Black. The rest of the night bounced from one classic to the next. “Let There Be Rock” and “Riff Raff” got extended guitar solos added to them, while they also pulled out hits like “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and “Thunderstruck.” The band also visited albums like Stiff Upper Lip and The Razors Edge. AC/DC wrapped up the explosive night with a two-song encore that included “T.N.T” and “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You).”

With night one in the books, The North American leg of AC/DC’s Power Up tour is officially underway. The historic band heads to Dallas next before they ship off to Pasadena, Vancouver, and Las Vegas. The tour will also include Detroit, Pittsburgh, Nashville, and Chicago stops. You can check out footage from last night’s trip to Minneapolis, the full setlist, and tour dates below.
