SONG PREMIERE: Zach Seabaugh Gets Nostalgic For Home with Soulful Indie Folk Tune “Eastern Time”

Zach Seabaugh is a Nashville-based indie-pop singer-songwriter whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with infectious melodies. Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Zach discovered his love for singing in his local church choir before pursuing a Music Business degree at Middle Tennessee State University.

Influenced by artists like Ben Rector, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer, Zach has crafted a sound that weaves together pop, rock, and folk elements in a way that feels both fresh and familiar. Since releasing his debut album Mr. Nobody in 2023, he’s built a loyal fan base drawn to his honest lyrics and warm stage presence.

In addition to his own releases, Zach has written songs recorded by artists such as Chance Peña, Shaboozey, and Kane Brown, further showcasing his talent as a versatile songwriter.

Today, Glide is offering an exclusive premiere of Seabaugh’s new single “Eastern Time,” a charming work of nostalgic indie folk that finds this troubadour embracing a stripped-down guitar sound that gradually ramps up into a sonically warm bath of rich instrumentation. Steel guitar, gorgeous harmonies, and a triumphant piano serve as a perfect complement to Seabaugh’s heartfelt and soulful lyrical tale of pining for home.

Seabaugh describes the inspiration behind the tune:

“I was on tour somewhere on the West Coast when I wrote this song, missing my home in Georgia, 3 hours ahead. I’m not one to stay in the same place for too long—I enjoy travel, the adventure of it—but I have to recharge my battery for it. No matter where I go, where life takes me, I’ll always go home to Georgia.”
