All Them Witches Announce 21 Shows in 21 Days October Tour & Share New Song “The Welterweight”

All Them Witches- Ben McLeod (guitarist), Charles Michael Parks, Jr. (bass/vocals), Christian Powers (drums), and Allan Van Cleave (keys)- have shared their new song and music video for “The Welterweight,” inspired by Parks’ grandfather, a boxing champion. “I wrote ‘The Welterweight’ and ‘Saturn Song’ around the same time.” Parks shared. “When I’m home, I mainly play acoustic guitar. It’s easier for songwriting but translating it to bass later is weird. You spend a lot of time getting these rhythms with finger-picking, and you end up cutting them out when you bring in other musicians. I’ve heard the word ‘Welterweight’ my whole life. My grandfather was a Welterweight boxing champion in Alabama. This title has been ringing in my head for a long time, and it found its way to a song.” “It’s our ballad, and it’s an awesome well-written song from Parks.” McLeod adds. “Eddie was trying to get Allan to do a piano intro, but Allan was playing too well because he’s classically trained. Eddie was like, ‘No, just play’ [Laughs]!”

Today, the band also announce their “21 Shows In 21 Days” October tour, where they will perform 21 shows in a row in cities including Chattanooga, Charlotte, Asbury Park, Buffalo, Minneapolis and more (full dates below). The band will release their seventh studio album, House of Mirrors via BMG on May 29^th. The album, produced by Eddie Spear [Zach Bryan, Jesse Welles], showcases the band’s growth and the unbreakable bond that is central to their music. “Our sound is based on the interplay between the different instruments and members,” McLeod shares. “A lot of it has to do with our chemistry. This unique dynamic enabled us to make a genuinely well-rounded record.” “We all have open communication,” agrees Parks. “Everyone speaks his mind.
