Buffalo Springfield Summer Tour?!?!

If you’ve heard a recording or watched videos of Buffalo Springfield’s first performances in 42 years at last month’s Bridge School Benefit, it should come as no surprise that the group is exploring a potential summer tour. The joy and enthusiasm came through in the band’s music as they delivered two wonderful sets at the Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View, CA.

Yesterday, the LA Times’ Pop and Hiss blog reported on “rumblings of some additional performances, maybe even a summer tour.” Today, Rolling Stone has confirmed the initial report by speaking with Richie Furay’s manager, David Spero, who says “there are ongoing discussions” about a potential tour.

At the Bridge School shows, surviving members Furay, Neil Young and Stephen Stills were joined by longtime Young sideman Rick Rosas on bass and CSN drummer Joe Vitale. We’ll keep you updated with any further news about what would be an exciting tour for rock fans.
