Briefly: Levon Home From Hospital

Last Saturday, Levon Helm was hospitalized with a severe cold that was only made worse by his COPD condition. After a near week-long stay in a New York City hospital, The Band drummer returned to his Woodstock home today according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal. Levon hopes to perform at tomorrow’s Midnight Ramble. Drummer Steve Jordan (John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Eric Clapton) will share drumming duties with Helm.
