Announcing: DMB Caravan – Atlantic City

Back in January, we reported that Atlantic City officials were in negotiations to bring a hippie jam fest to deserted Bader Field and today we finally have an announcement of that event – Dave Matthews Band Caravan. Joining DMB at the former municipal airport on June 24 – 26 will be HT faves Warren Haynes Band, Dr. Dog, the Flaming Lips, From Good Homes and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

Additional acts set to perform at Bader Field include David Gray, Ray LaMontagne, O.A.R., Damian Marley, Bassnectar, Amos Lee, Thievery Corporation, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Guster, Lotus, Rebelution, Fitz and the Tantrums, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Lisa Hannigan, Punch Brothers, Delta Spirit, Big Gigantic, Alberta Cross, Mariachi El Bronx, TR3, Vusi Mahlasela, the Budos Band and Bobby Long. In addition to Dave Matthews Band’s headlining sets, DMB members Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will perform an acoustic set, while the group’s Carter Beauford and Stefan Lessard will offer special performances of their own.

The Atlantic City event will be the first of four destination festivals thrown by the band. Tickets for the Atlantic City festival are available as three-day passes only through DMB’s Warehouse site starting on Monday, March 14 at 10AM, followed by a Citicard member presale on March 21 before going on sale to the general public on March 25. Each three-day pass will run you $195 plus fees. Festival organizers have arranged long distance shuttles to bring fans from around the region to Bader Field.

The event, which is expected to bring 75,000 attendees to the Jersey Shore city, was announced at a press conference this morning.
