Jam In The Dam returns next year with a lineup featuring Mike Gordon, moe., Lotus, Keller Williams and Dark Star Orchestra from March 14 – 16 at the historic Melkweg in Amsterdam. Tickets go on sale March 24 with travel packages available through CID Entertainment.
Later this year, MTV2 will bring back a monthly version of the beloved alt-rock program 120 Minutes featuring former host Matt Pinfield returning to his old role. Pinfield will also host a weekly online counterpart called 120 Seconds on MTV’s brand-new Hive portal (which we mentioned earlier today in Bloggy Goodness). 120 Seconds debuts Friday on Hive.
Most Grateful Dead tribute acts focus on the improvisational aspects of the band’s music, but a new group put together by guitarist Marc Muller, Dead On, will offer fans a note-for-note recreation of the American Beauty & Workingman’s Dead LPs. First up for Dead On is a performance at NYC’s Best Buy Theater on June 24. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at Noon.
