All-Star Roster of Musicians Participates in Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams Project

A varied and impressive roster of talented musicians have participated in a new project in which the likes of Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, Jack White and Norah Jones recorded “lost” songs penned by country music legend Hank Williams that have been compiled for an LP called The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams.

Due out on October 4 on Bob Dylan’s Egyptian Records label, each participant took a stab at recording a song taken from Williams’ leather-bound notebooks, which were found shortly after his untimely death in 1953. The Country Music Hall of Fame’s Michael McCall has detailed the project for liner notes that will come with the album.
