Late in 2010, Dead.net presented a free download series featuring unreleased gems from throughout the Grateful Dead’s 30 years of live performances called 30 Days of Dead. We loved the mix of tracks and certainly appreciated the free nature of the promotion. We’re overjoyed to see that vaultmeister David Lemieux has chosen 30 more nuggets from the vault to share on a daily basis as 320kbps MP3s this month as 30 Days of Dead has returned.
Each day in November a new track and prize will be posted on Dead.net without a date or venue. Download the file for free and if you want to win the swag, wager a guess as to the date and location of that day’s track. For the first 30 Days of Dead ’11 post, Lemieux has shared a New Potato Caboose and the band is giving away a J. Garcia long-sleeved thermal to a random entrant who correctly identifies where and when the track was played.
At the end of the month we’ll compile and share a list of the tracks as if last year’s installment was any indication, this series is a must-download for all Deadheads.
