Beck Plans Fall Tour Dates

Nearly five months since the release of his latest Interscope album, “Guero,” Beck has only played sporadic live dates in support of the set. But the artist has finally made plans to go on tour in North America, beginning Sept. 19 in Minneapolis, according to his official Web site. Dates are on tap through Oct. 8 in Camden, N.J.

Along the way, Beck will also open three shows for the Rolling Stones: Sept. 24 in Columbus, Ohio; Sept. 26 in Toronto; and Oct. 1 in Hershey, Pa.

As previously reported, he will also serve as one of the four headliners at the first Across the Narrows Festival, which will visit Brooklyn and Staten Island, N.Y., on Oct. 1-2.

Even without live appearances to support it, “Guero” has proven a big hit. The album debuted at a career-best No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has already sold more than 623,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
