The story about Manchester, England’s WU LYF goes something like this: upstart indie band defies virtually all commercial attention, turns down interview requests and rejects a bunch of recording contracts, while in turn creating a whole air of mystery about themselves. In essence, WU LYF garnered a bunch of attention by not wanting attention (or at least acting like it). In the era where buzzy press coverage means so much for new artists, it’s pretty cool that a band is going the Joe Strummer route, and it’s actually working. It does all seem a bit contrived, but at the end of the day, the band is good so more power to ’em. Here’s a look at their latest video for We Bros…
