Capitol Theater Re-Opening Set For September

The folks at Brooklyn Vegan have broken the news that the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York will re-open at some point in September. Relix publisher and Brooklyn Bowl owner Pete Shapiro, who will book and operate the venue along with Bowery Presents, tells BV that he’s “very excited” about the progress on the Cap, which has hosted many legendary concerts in its day.

We’re excited to hear that the venue will feature a projector that can project design’s on the venue’s ceiling. No word yet on who will play the historic room during its opening weeks, but the Cap team has shared a video about its return…
