Rarities Galore For My Morning Jacket in Utrecht

Last night at Tivoli in Utrecht, Netherlands, My Morning Jacket’s Spontaneous Curation Series continued as fans helped fill the setlist with rarities. The show opened with the Z track Into The Woods, which hasn’t been performed since the Terminal 5 Run in 2010. The oft-requested Cobra also saw action early in the set as did the rarely played Where To Begin and I Think I’m Going To Hell.

My Morning Jacket – I Think I’m Going To Hell

Later in the evening, MMJ worked more requests into their performance as the encore featured the 2012 debut of Sweatbees track O Is The One That Is Real. By having fans help decide the setlist, we’re seeing My Morning Jacket concerts without certain songs that have been staples of nearly every show. For example, on this night Off The Record and One Big Holiday were left off the setlist, something we’re excited to see after a year of fairly predictable setlists from Jim James and Co.

Speaking of the setlist, here’s the one from last night…

Set: Into The Woods > What A Wonderful Man, Lowdown, The Way That He Sings, Cobra, First Light, Magheetah, Slow Slow Tune, Outta My System, Where To Begin, Heartbreakin’ Man, Wordless Chorus, Gideon, I Think I’m Going To Hell, Touch Me I’m Goin To Scream Pt. 2, I’m Amazed, Smokin’ From Shootin’

Encore: Victory Dance, The Day Is Coming, O Is The One That Is Real, Dondante, Circuital

The Spontaneous Curation Series continues tonight in Groningen, Netherlands.
