Omaha-based neo-wave, synth punk quintet The Faint have announced dates for an early summer tour of the U.S. and Canadian clubs and theatres.
The tour kicks off May 21 at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee and will make stops in nineteen cities including Chicago (Metro, May 22), Boston (The Avalon, May 26), Washington, D.C. (9:30 Club, May 28), Boulder, Colo. (Fox Theatre, June 4 & 5) and San Diego (SOMA, June 8).
Presale tickets for all shows went on sale April 13 and are available at through a link on the band’s web site or at www.thefaint.ducatking.com.
While there’s no official word on a follow-up to The Faint’s 2004 release, Wet From Birth, representatives for the band told Pollstar they have been working on a new album, and will most likely be playing new songs on the tour.
The band’s reps were unable to either confirm or deny rumors that have been circulating on the internet concerning a possible move from the Saddle Creek label and the band working with producer Rick Rubin for their next release.
