Crowded House has confirmed its first US tour since 1996.
Slated to start on August 4 in Northhampton, Mass., the tour will take the band across the U.S. and Canada, ending on September 12 in Atlanta. Pete Yorn will open on most of the tour stops. The first shows go on sale May 19. The 25-date theatre tour is in support of the new record, Time On Earth, Crowded House’s first since 1993. The album is due out July 10, 2007. Time On Earth features founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour, along with former member Mark Hart and new drummer Matt Sherrod. The band debuted the new line-up and material the Coachella Festival in April. The set marked the band’s first performance in the U.S. since 1996.
