My Morning Jacket To Headline On The Beach Sandy Benefit

While much focus has been put on tonight’s 12-12-12: The Concert For Sandy Relief, other acts have put together benefits for Superstorm Sandy victims as well. The latest is from HT faves My Morning Jacket who are teaming up with Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Joseph Arthur, Nicole Atkins, River City Extension, Tangiers Blues Band and special guests for “On The Beach- A Sandy Relief Concert” at the Paramount Theatre on the Asbury Park Boardwalk on January 2, 2013 at 7pm.

NJ’s own Matt Pinfield will host the event and proceeds from On The Beach-A Sandy Relief Concert will be given to Jersey Shore focused non-profits Waves For Water, RebuildRecover, Coastal Habitat for Humanity, The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and Food for Thought By The Sea.

The benefit will be produced by photographer Danny Clinch, activist Tim Donnelly and concert promoter Tony Pallagrosi. Tickets will go on-sale this Friday at Noon EST at the Stone Pony Box Office and via Ticketmaster. This sounds like a fantastic show for a most worthy cause.
