The Cure Return To North America

The Cure, who are currently getting ready for a swing through Asia and Australia, have announced dates for a tour of North America.

The band’s Asian tour kicks off July 27 with an appearance at the Fuji Rock Festival at the Naeba Ski Resort in Nigata, Japan, and includes dates in Hong Kong and Singapore. Australian stops include Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The North American leg of the tour launches September 13 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla., and will see the band hitting arenas and sheds around the U.S. and Canada, including the Charlotte Bobcats Arena in North Carolina (September 19), Madison Square Garden Arena in New York (September 23), Air Canada Centre in Toronto, O.N., (September 27), Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morisson, Colo. (October 2), General Motors Place in Vancouver, B.C. (October 9), the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (October 14), and American Airlines Center in Dallas (October 17).

The band will also make an appearance October 6 at the Download Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheatre near San Francisco.

Opening duties for all of The Cure’s North American dates will be handled by 65 Days Of Static.
