The North American leg kicks off September 6 at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and features dates scattered around the U.S. and Canada, including The Showbox in Seattle (September 8), the Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colo. (September 11), First Avenue in Minneapolis (September 14), the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, O.N. (September 18), New York’s Webster Hall (September 22-23), Orange Peel in Asheville, N.C. (September 28), Revolution in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (October 1), the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas (October 6), and Soma in San Diego (October 12).

Blacklight, the band’s fourth release and their first for Warner Bros., is due to drop August 21.
The album is the follow up to 2004’s More Adventurous and comes after an 18 month hiatus during which vocalist Jenny Lewis released her debut solo album, Rabbit Fur Coat, guitarist/vocalist Blake Sennett completed a second disc with his alt-rock side project The Elected and drummer Jason Boesel worked with Bright Eyes.
