The long delayed first volume from a new series of archival releases featuring Jerry Garcia’s solo projects dubbed “GarciaLive” has been postponed once again. Now it’s set for a February 19th release with the Facebook announcement also proclaiming “finally….seriously” which makes us hopeful GarciaLive Vol. 1 will actually get into fans’ hands next month after the initial announcement last summer.
GarciaLive Vol. 1 features a recording of both Jerry Garcia Band’s early and late shows from the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey on March 1, 1980. The sets were recorded for a radio broadcast on a 24-track mobile rig. Today, we finally have our first taste of the release as Sugaree from GarciaLive Vol. 1 has been posted on SoundCloud.
