Bursting onto the singer/songwriter scene with his album O, Rice, a native of Ireland, has quickly built a strong following in the United States with his emotional lyrics and steady radio play. And throughout his two-hour performance, you could argue that Rice will be able to stick around and build on his already strong foundation.

Nickel Creek held true to their bluegrass roots throughout their two hour performance at the Pageant, covering and conquering the likes of Nirvana, Carrie Newcomer, Beck and Gillian Welch, while also cruising through traditional folk and country instrumentals within their growing catalog of original material.
Easily Amused: Simple Stuff
Renee Lamoureux and Keith Macpherson, who make up the Canadian pop/rock duo Easily Amused, are passionate musicians. The two have performed nearly 400 shows over the past two years and have kept the bus rolling in 2004. For this, I salute them. For their latest record, Simple Stuff, I have many reservations.
