Robert Trujillo has been named the new bass player of Metallica, replacing Jason Newstead who left the band to pursue other projects. The hazing that Newstead received when he replaced Cliff Burton in 1986 was ongoing and is well documented; one could only hope James, Kirk and Lars take it easy on their new four string monster.
