10 years ago today (9/13/11), Dream Theater released its eleventh studio LP A Dramatic Turn of Events. This album marked the first album to not feature founding member and drummer extraordinaire Mike Portnoy, who left the band prior and was replaced by Mike Mangini. Although a stylistic change was introduced with A Dramatic Turn, the album as a whole received postive acclaim and at a lengthy 77 minutes long, remains one of their most ambitious efforts.
