While the band has released earlier recordings such as Teenage Gizzard and Willoughby Beach EPs, the self-recorded 12 Bar Bruise was the first full-on foray into the soon-to-be Gizzverse, where King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard would set new bars for prolificity and all-around psych-rock amplification and originality.
