10 years ago today (11/8/06), The Whisky-A-Go-Go, the legendary L.A. venue that was the launching pad for The Doors is designated a landmark by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. It marks the start of a yearlong celebration of the band’s 40th anniversary. All three surviving band members take part in the festivities, which include signing copies of their autobiography, The Doors by The Doors.
