10 Years Ago Today Rush Returns To Top LP Form With ‘Snakes & Arrows’ (Watch “Malignant Narcissim” Live)

10 years ago today (5/1/07), Rush released Snakes & Arrows, arguably their finest effort on record since 1985’s Power Windows. Their eighteenth studio album proved to be a winner as the track “Malignant Narcissism” was nominated for a Grammy Award under the category Best Rock Instrumental Performance. Neil Peart has stated the lyrical theme of the album is based on his personal reflections on faith, inspired by his motorcycle journeys through North America. The album contains many more fan favorites and is often considered one of their most ambitious full lengthts, until it was eclipsed by 2012’s Clockwork Angels. Watch the holy triumvirate play “Malignant Narcissim” from Snakes & Arrows DVD.
