13 years ago today (12/12/03), Dave Matthews kicks off his first ever solo tour billed as “Dave Matthews and Friends.” He’s joined by most of the guests from his solo album Some Devil, including Trey Anastasio, Tim Reynolds, Tony Hall (bass), Brady Blade (drums) and Ray Paczkowski (keys). Along with Dave Matthews solo and full band material, the collective would feature a number of cover songs including tracks by Paul Simon, The Beatles, The Band, Billy Preston and more.
