14 years ago today (12/22/02)-Joe Strummer of The Clash and died of a heart attack at age 50. The co-founder, lyricist The Clash was one of of rock’s most vital frontman who helped usher in a British punk but topped it off with more ambitious albums and compositions. Lets not forget he also had a solid solo career with his band The Mescaleros. Following his death The Clash are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a few months later.
