15 Years Ago Today- Inaugural Bonnaroo Kicks Off With Jam Favorites Aplomb (Watch Widespead PAnic “Tall Boy”)

15 years ago today (6/21/02) the inaugural Bonnaroo kicked off in Manchester, TN. The three-day festival ran from June 21-23 and featured mainly acts from the jam world, a far cry from the festival’s more recent EDM/altnernative/hip hop lineups. Featured artists included Widespread Panic, Soulive, Gov’t Mule, String Cheese Incident, Jack Johnson, Jurassic 5, Disco Biscuits, Galactic, Trey Anastasio Band, Ween, Phi Lesh and Friends with Bob Weir, moe., and Particle. Watch Widespread Panic featuring Dottie Peoples and one of lead guitarist Mike Houser’s final performances ever, perform “Tall Boy” at Bonnaroo 2002.
