15 Years Ago Today – Joe Strummer of The Clash Dies at Age 50 (Watch The Clash Live ’80)

15 years ago today (12/22/02), Joe Strummer of The Clash and died of a heart attack at age 50. The co-founder, lyricist The Clash was one of rock’s most vital frontman who helped usher in a British punk but topped it off with more ambitious albums and compositions. Lets not forget he also had a solid solo career with his band The Mescaleros. Following his death, The Clash was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a few months later. In honor of Strummer, let’s watch The Clash live at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ on 3/8/80.
