15 years ago today (9/12/97), it was confirmed during a press conference by promoter Harvey Goldsmith that the surviving members of Led Zeppelin would reunite a show with Jason Bonham filling in on drums. The concert would be held in memory of music executive Ahmet Ertegün at London’s O2 Arena on 10 December 2007. The show of course was one of the premiere reunion events in rock history with the band playing16 songs—including two encores—from across their career, with lengthy and invigorating solos, vocals, and rhythms, accomplishing what many feared as a doubtful attempt into a triumphant success.
