Nobody would have believed back in 2001, when John Mayer released his debut LP Room For Squares on 6/5/01, that he’d be calling most of his shots twenty years later. Also, anybody would have said he’d be lead guitarist the new touring version of The Grateful Dead (Dead & Co.) deserves a round of drinks on the house. Room for Squares might be Mayer’s finest LP to date, a mix of guitar-driven singer-songwriter that was solid all-around aside from “Your Body Is a Wonderland”.
