25 years ago today (6/23/98), The Sadies released their debut album Precious Moments. Formed in 1994 and led by the Good Brothers (Dallas and Travis), the Canadian band offered a ragged yet twangy mix of surf, country, and garage rock that at the time was a novel approach. This Steve Albini-produced album featured 20 tracks and featured a guest appearance from Neko Case, to who the Sadies would later back up on tour and on record. Check out tune “Guns Speak”:
