30 Years Ago Today – Cracker Releases Second Album ‘Kerosene Hat’

30 years ago today (8/24/93), Cracker released their second studio album Kerosene Hat. Following five albums with Camper Van Beethoven; David Lowery formed Cracker with guitarist Johnny Hickman and the band made a dent on the modern album rock charts. The singles from the album, “Low” and “Get Off This,” the album would go gold and remain a vital part of the mid-90s alt-rock soundtrack.
