30 Years Ago Today – George Harrison Goes To #1 With “Got My Mind Set On You” (Watch Official Video)

30 years ago today (1/16/88), George Harrison topped the U.S. pop chart with “Got My Mind Set On You,” his first #1 in 13 years, since he scored with “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth).” The song featured Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr on drums and of Harrison’s three number-one singles in the US, it was both the only song not written or composed by Harrison himself and the only one without religious overtones.
