30 years ago today (11/22/94), Pearl Jam released their third studio album, Vitalogy, which was first released on vinyl and became the first vinyl album to appear on the US chart since CDs became the music medium of choice. They followed the release in other formats two weeks later and it’s cool to note it was the second-fastest-selling CD in history, behind only the band’s previous release Vs. The album represented Pearl Jam’s most experimental effort with its mix of punk, ballads, and arena rockers. Watch Pearl Jam rock “Corduroy” live in 1995..
