30 Years Ago Today – The Dave Matthews Band Release Debut Album ‘Remember Two Things’

30 years ago today (11/9/93), The Dave Matthews Band released their debut album Remember Two Things. The album cover art is an autostereogram that, when focused on correctly, shows a person’s hand displaying a peace sign and the songs themselves wove themselves into the burgeoning jamband/HORDE tour movement of the early 90s. The album was initially released independently on the band’s own Bama Rags label, but it was later re-released by RCA Records in 1997 and had live favorites “Ants Marching, “Tripping Billies, “Satellite” and “Seek Up.” Check Dave Matthews Band in their very early days perform in front of what was their biggest audience to date (as mentioned in first song).
