Thirty years ago today (July 9, 1995), The Grateful Dead played their final proper performance, and last with Jerry Garcia, at Soldier Field to conclude the Summer ’95 tour. Garcia would pass away a month later and the Dead would suspend touring under that name till the Fare Thee Well shows in 2015.
