35 years ago today (5/21/83), David Bowie hit #1 with the title track off his 15th studio album Let’s Dance. The track became Bowie’s second and last single to reach number-one in the U.S. The single was described by Ed Power in the Irish Examiner as “a decent chunk of funk-rock” and features Nile Rodgers on rhythm guitar and Stevie Ray Vaughan handling a guitar solo at the end.
