37 Years Ago Today – Imagine That: Allman Brothers Band & The Grateful Dead Cancel Duel Headlining Show Due To Poor Ticket Sales (Watch “One Way Out” w Keytar)

37 years ago today (11/27/81), The Allman Brothers Band and the Grateful Dead canceled a show at Orlando’s Tangerine Bowl because only 10,000 tickets have been sold to the 60,000-seat stadium. Although this is hard to fathom that such revered bands would draw such a small audience, we’ll have to blame it on the ’81 era of the Allman Brothers Band that featured Mike Lawler on keytar – not exactly the ideal mix for their bluesy soulful six string/Hammond led repertoire.
