40 Years Ago Today – Mötley Crüe Released Debut LP ‘Too Fast For Love’

40 years ago today (11/10/81) Mötley Crue rode into the fast lane & released their debut LP Too Fast For Love. Coming off as a low budget version of KISS with makeup, pyro and glammy showmanship, Too Fast For Love was also their heaviest album and sported hard riffs courtesy of band’s elder member Mick Mars and some primal vocals from the young Vince Neil. While some doubted the band originality (the album’s homage to the Stone’s Sticky Fingers didn’t help), its endless bad-boy endeavors and MTV airplay vaulted the band into arena headliners and a sack full of hits.
