40 Years Ago Today- Rush Releases Commercially/Artistically Successful ‘Moving Pictures’ LP (Listen To “Vital Signs”

40 years ago today (2/12/81), Rush released it’s biggest commercial selling album Moving Pictures. Everyone of the seven songs is a powerhouse from the radio favorites “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight” and “Red Barchetta” to the instrumental anthem “YYZ.” Side two contains some of the more adventurous tracks in the Rush catalog including “The Camera Eye,” “Witch Hunt” and “Vital Signs.” Moving Pictures remains Rush’s highest-selling album in the United States after it was certified quadruple-platinum by the RIAA for over 4 million copies sold.
