45 years ago today (3/23/73), King Crimson released their fifth studio LP ‘Larks’ Tongues in Aspic’. This album is the debut of King Crimson’s fifth incarnation, featuring original member and guitarist Robert Fripp and new members John Wetton (vocals, bass), David Cross (violin, Mellotron), Jamie Muir (percussion), and Bill Bruford (drums). Crimson experimented with a new set of devices and sound effects which took the Crimson sound to new experimental heights and anchored themselves along with this album as a true Prog classic.
