47 years ago today (10/6/68), Cream embarked on a ‘farewell tour’ of 19 cities in the U.S. before the two-night stand finale, Nov. 25 & 26, at the Royal Albert Hall. Opening acts on the various tour dates included Deep Purple and the newly formed Yes. Cream reunited in 2005 for a series of shows in the U.K. and U.S., which were a huge critical and financial success. Lead singer/bassist Jack Bruce passed away in October of 2014 so any other shows are impossible. Watch Cream perform their farewell concert live at the Royal Albert Hall on 11/26/68.
