50 years ago today (8/30/71), The Beach Boys released their underrated classic Surf’s Up. Although the album title suggests another round of surf, girls, and hot rods,- the album is anything but. Surf’s Up Is another experimental nod to the Brian Wilson imagined post-Pet Sounds era for the Beach Boys that drove Mike Love crazy.
